Students who have returned to Singapore from the following countries within the last 7 days (that means you returned to Singapore from 14 June onwards) are not allowed to come to school for training in the final week of holidays.
These countries are : Argentina, Australia, Canada, Chile, Japan, Dominican Republic, Mexico, Panama, the Philippines, Spain, Thailand, United Kingdom and United States of America
Students who come for training are to bring along their thermometers.
Do not come for training if you are feeling unwell, inform me by sms and go see a doctor for an MC.

Packing List: Poncho
Some of you have noticed that your packing list includes a poncho, this is to be carried out when you move around outside of school.

It is okay if you get those cheap and light disposable ones.

SWINE FLU PRECAUTIONS

Students who have their thermometers with them must bring their thermometers when they come to school during the school holidays (e.g. CCA, camps, remedial lessons)

Girls with a temperature of above 38.1 degrees will be asked to go home.

For students who are well but have travelled to an
H1N1 flu affected area (see below), they should not participate in any school
activities for 7 days upon their return to Singapore. For this group of
students who turn up for CCAs and other school activities, their parents
would be informed to bring them home.

Training for Holidays (Tentative Plan)

This June is really packed, it seems that we can only train in the final week of the holiday.

Tentatively,

Sec 2 and 3: 22nd, 24th , and 26th June

Sec 1: 23rd and 25th June

Timing will be in the morning. (9am -11am)

Updates will be made accordingly. Please take the training seriously, we are quite far behind already.

Torch Relay for Asian Youth Games 2009

Torch Relay for Asian Youth Games 2009

On Sunday 28 June 2009 , there will be a torch relay to commemorate the starting of the Asian Youth Games (AYG). Students are invited to run a length of the route together with the torchbearer; the run will end at Pasir Ris Elias Community Club for a carnival style celebration. The route is estimated to be 1.5km long.

Each participant will be given an exclusive T-shirt to be worn on the day of event. The organizer will call for a briefing to all participants before the event (date to be confirmed).

The whole event will last from about 745am to 1000am. At the end of the event, the participants will be invited to the carnival activities and exchange for food with food vouchers distributed earlier in the day.

I already have your NRIC and email, you would need to sms me your date of birth if you are interested.

Unfortunately, this event is again opened to sec 1 and 2. I sms’ed all so that the senior would be aware of the activities the juniors are involved in.

For those who are intersted the deadline is 2nd june tuesday 5pm.

Visit to Swissotel

The 1st Asian Games will be held in Singapore from 29th June - 7 July 2009.

Our school has been invited to visit the Asian Youth Games Village at swissotel, The Stamford.

Date: 3rd July Friday

 Venue: Swissotel, The Stamford 

Duration: 1 hr 30 mins 

During the visit, our students will have the opportunity to know more about the Games, experience the atmosphere in the Games Village and take part in some activities.

It will be a good exposure for our athletes as they get to experience how sports are being played at a higher level and they might get motivated to excel in their own sports as well.

Each CCA can only send 3 students.

Interested students, please send me an SMS, dateline is Saturday 30^th May 2009, 10pm.

I will ballot if there are more than 3 students interested.

since midyear is over, i bet everybody must be feeling kinda relaxed by A BIT.
lol. i know the sec4s aren't feeling relaxed at all.
